| The fountain was a gift to the community from the brothers Herbert and William Wadsworth in memory of their mother Emmeline. Emmeline was a passionate animal lover and a fountain where horses could be watered was a fitting tribute to their mother. Examination of the fountain reveals that 120 years of constant exposure to the elements has taken its toll on the structural integrity of the fountain. |
